On Monday 2 March 2020, holiday parks in North Wales were granted with a life-saving contribution from the family-owned and operated holiday and leisure business, Thornley Leisure Park. Director David Thornley donated a total of 5 defibrillators to the parks. The charitable donation is intended to help reduce the number of cardiac arrests.
Tomas Hughes from the Welsh Ambulance PADS Support kindly delivered the defibrillators to Thornley Leisure Parks Head Office and will providing the free on-site training course on the parks, involving step by step health and safety instructions on how to operate the defibrillators, recognise heart attack symptoms, learn resuscitation techniques as well as detailed first aid training.
David Thornley said the health and wellbeing of customers whilst holidaying on the parks was paramount. ” We want to do everything we can to look after the wellbeing of our customers whilst they are on holiday with us,” he added “It’s not just for the parks as it’s also for the local community. ”
