Park Managers at Morfa Lodge, North Wales

We have so many different characters across our 10 Holiday Parks across Wales, Cheshire & Yorkshire, all of who have a wealth of knowledge and experience, not only about the Parks they work within, but also about the local areas which surround them.

Our newest park, Morfa Lodge Holiday Park in North Wales, is a hidden gem on the Llyn Peninsula stretch of coastline. With breathtaking views of Y Foryd Nature Reserve and sitting at the foothills of Snowdonia, AND just a short walk from the white sandy beach of Dinas Dinlle, Morfa Lodge has everything to offer for a retreat from the rigors of modern life.

This month we thought we would introduce Dewi, our new Park Manager at Morfa Lodge, and get an insight into what makes him tick..

How long have you worked for Thornley Leisure Parks? Just two weeks!

What excites you the most about your new role? The opportunity to be part of this new journey at Morfa lodge for Thornley’s and the owners. Thornley parks are of the highest standards and look forward to bring Morfa Lodge to its full potential! The park is a fantastic location and has a brilliant feel, I cant wait to be part of the journey.

Where can you most likely be found on park? At the Reception, but you will find me out on park as much as possible. I’m not a manager that will be hidden in the office!

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? Apart from spending valuable time with my family I am heavily involved with Sports and help run many local clubs. I coach Triathlon for children and adults also coach and referee at the local Rugby club in Pwllheli.

Why do you enjoy working in the holiday park industry? No day is the same, each season bring its new challenges and opportunities. Holiday parks are family’s happy times and its great to be part of making sure everyone has memorable times at my Parks.

What is your favourite aspect of Morfa Lodge so far? The feel of the park, it has a great atmosphere. When the Sun is shining the terrace around the bar and pool truly feels like being on a resort overseas.

Do you have any advice to anyone thinking of owning a holiday home? Your holiday home will be your happy place, make sure the location is right for you and the family and the commute distance works. Once you find the park that’s right finding the right caravan that meets your needs is the fun part.
