That is certainly true for the Cooper Family after coming across the Beach Caravan Park in 1995 when their Gran purchased their first caravan.
Many happy memories ( and several caravan upgrades later) have been made at ‘The Beach’ over the last 27 years and the location is something which means that throwing some things in the car for a weekend away is just perfect. You feel like you have been here for weeks on end once you arrive. Nothing is better. The Beach is also located conveniently to many of North Wales best attractions which makes it a perfect base, particularly for the school holidays, which Matt is lucky enough to enjoy. Recently, Matt has introduced his Godson Ted to The Beach recently and he wants to come every time! Ted’s also introduced Matt to sea swimming so it’s ideal to pop out of the door and over the road to the beach!
I have been on the Beach site for 68 years. I was one month old when my Gran & Grandad bought their first family caravan at the Beach, which was then known as Brough’s Caravan & Chalet Park. My Mum & Dad were the first to buy a caravan off Thornley Leisure Parks after they bought the Beach. Now, myself & my wife Carol own a caravan there. We will probably be the last of the family line on the Beach, as our daughter is now living in Tasmania and our son is too busy with other activities to own a caravan.
The service we have received as a family over many years from Thornley Leisure Parks, The Thornley Family and the staff at The Beach is second to none. Nothing is ever too much trouble and everyone is so friendly and accommodating. We appreciate it greatly and it makes for an all-round positive holiday home ownership experience. Here’s to the next 30 years at ‘The Beach’ for us!
The ever-changing views from the front of the caravan and from the beach over the majestic Irish Sea provides the perfect place to relax and recover and take time for yourself.
It’s our 44th year as caravan owners on this site. Our daughters loved coming here as children and made many longstanding friendships. They now come here with their families. The grandchildren love coming here too. It’s our Happy Place!
We love everything about our beautiful site. The managers are always there for us. They organise a great variety of activities for both adults and children. The grounds staff are amazing and the pristine gardens, lawns and flowers are testament to this. Our caravan is on a lovely plot with views of the hills to one side and sea to the other. It is such a thrill for us to share this place with our family. Our grandchildren love it and hopefully we are making special memories for them.
Great spot, lovely area surrounded by the Mountains and sea. The beach is fantastic and the airport is fun, the kids loved watching the helicopters and planes take off (also the cakes!). A short drive to Snowdonia national park which we all love, a cute club on the site for a few wind down drinks after a day of adventuring...a nice quiet family friendly park...highly recommend.
We have been on the beach caravan park for 31 years and loved every minute of it and made lots of friends
Happy 60th Anniversary. We have been on Craiglwyd since 1981. Our Happy Place and for our daughters and grandchildren too!
